HIGH SCHOOL COURSES
The focus of the Family and Consumer Sciences program is the family, self, others, and related careers. Students have the opportunity to become knowledgeable about themselves and others so they can make responsible decisions, interact effectively, and prepare for occupations, as well as the work of the family. High school students may choose a wide variety of classes or focus on one of the following areas:
1. Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design
2. Foods, Nutrition and Wellness
3. Human and Child Development
All classes meet the Applied Arts graduation requirement. Some classes grant advanced credit at Southeast Community College.

MIDDLE SCHOOL COURSES
The courses at the Middle School are exploratory and skill-building courses. All students in Middle School will be enrolled in the 6th and 7th grade courses in Family and Consumer Science. Eighth grade students choose from a variety of semester electives.
6th grade - Family and Consumer Science - 6 weeks 7th grade - Family and Consumer Science - 9 weeks 8th grade - Family and Consumer Science - 1 semester
