Family & Consumer Sciences District Program Objectives

1. Understand the development of individuals and families throughout the life span.
   
   
2. Establish constructive relationships within families, careers, and communities.
   
   
3. Encourage understanding by integrating multiple perspectives related to individuals, families, cultures, careers, and communities.
   
   
4. Integrate higher level thinking and problem-solving skills to be a contributing member of families and society.
   
   
5. Incorporate technology to enhance the quality of life within families, careers, and communities.
   
   
6. Apply technology to solve problems related to providing, using and managing food, clothing, shelter, family and work activities.
   
   
7. Analyze issues related to family wellness for individuals, families, careers, and communities.
   
   
8. Develop leadership and management skills for use within families, careers, and communities.
   
   
9. Develop career skills which support the needs to individuals, families, and communities.
