Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a pre-engineering course of study that can lead to advanced placement in many of the engineering colleges across the nation. It is a five course curriculum that begins in the freshman year with Principles of Engineering, continues in the sophomore and junior year with Introduction to Engineering Design, Digital Electronics and Computer Integrated Manufacturing. The final senior class, Engineering Design and Development, is the capstone class for the PLTW program. If students pass the rigorous PLTW examinations, they will be able to get three hours of university credit on payment of a reduced fee to the university of their choice (approximately 50 American universities and colleges are participants). |
