Mr. Cornwell

Hi, I'm Joel Cornwell. I currently teach 9th grade Geography and 9th grade Civics, United States History, and Advanced Placement United States History at Lincoln Northeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska.

I am married and have 5 children at home. All are school age and they are quite active and fun. My wife Christine is my soulmate and best friend. We have been married 16+ years now and are marvelously content.

I do have a variety of hobbies. These include.... reading (when I get the chance at 2 a.m., history, sports of all kinds. (Gotta be a "ball" sport), baseball cards, purchasing old music off of eBay and iTunes, etc.

Baseball cards have been a lifelong pursuit of sorts and one card in particular has evaded me for a variety of reasons. A 1975 TOPPS George Brett... It's his rookie card and he's my favorite player. The card you see here was at auction on EBay from a dealer and possibly sold for $550-600. Ridiculous for a little cardboard picture...

I also root for the Northeast Rockets, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Kansas City Chiefs, and any team my kids play for. Loudly, if need be.
