7th Grade Science - Team Taurus

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit about Mrs. Hansen! 

It is hard to believe that this will be my tenth year at Scott Middle School.   Before I joined Scott I spent a year teaching at Goodrich.  I teach 7th grade science on the Gemini (7A) team.

I have lived in Nebraska my entire life and was born in Wahoo. I grew up on a farm near Ashland with my parents and two younger brothers.  I spent a lot of time outdoors exploring, which has a lot to do with why I like science.

I have always enjoyed school and learning.  I attended grades 1 - 8 in a 2 room country school and high school in Mead, Nebraska.  I then attended the University of Nebaska - Lincoln.  I graduated from UNL with a degree in Natural Science Education and a Masters degree with an emphasis in middle level education. 

My husband, Matthew, and I have been married for almost six years. Our daughter, Grace, is a busy toddler.    We live near the Coddington area with our two cats, Scarlet and Cream.  In my spare time I like to read, work on craft or decorating projects and spend time with my family.
