Señora Szelag
Greetings and welcome!!
My name is Mrs. Szelag and this is my first year at East High School. I'm originally from Nebraska but for the last 25 years I've lived in Utah, Wyoming, California and New York.
My husband and I have 2 sons: Casey and Raymond. Casey is in the Army and currently living in Tennessee. Raymond is 16 and a student at East this year. The lovely picture below shows all of us together on a family trip to Arizona 4 years ago (by the way, I'm the cute and ONLY female surrounded by all of those handsome men)!
As part of my college work a few years ago, I spent a lot of time studying in Mexico and bring a lot of the culture of Mexico to my classroom. I've visited twice since and always bring more materials (aka goodies) back to share with my students.
I'm really looking forward to teaching and learning once again in Lincoln. We're going to have a fabulous year!!
