I'm Frau Wegner and I have fun teaching 4 levels of German. Before teaching at East, I was at Millard West High School, Fairbury and North Platte. While most of my teaching has been on the secondary level, I have also taught elementary German. I am a graduate of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD (BA) and the University of Nebraska (MA) and have been involved in several study abroad programs in Germany.  This past summer my husband and I had our own tour of Germany in a Volkswagen Golf.  That was a blast!  (These pictures were taken at or near the castle which is named the Dornroeschen Schloss or Sleeping Beauty Castle because this castle inspired the Grimm Brothers to write that fairy tale.)  World Cup fever was everywhere, and one could not miss the true German spirit of 'celebration'.  Besides traveling in Germany, I love to spend time with our family.  Our 4 sons are scattered in 3 states and we have 6 grandchildren so far.  I used to golf a little bit and recently had a dream that I became a high school girls golf coach -- oh my goodness!  I'll stick to sponsoring the German Club which meets the first and third Mondays of the month; these students sell the best Gummi Bears and great Advent Calendars every December.
