A little about me:
When I was four, my parents decided to move us to Nebraska from California. My mom is from New Jersey and she, through tears, had to look at a map to find the exact location of the state where Dad was taking us.
I attended Lincoln East and the University of Nebraska. I am married and we have an 12 year old son and an 2 year old daughter. Nebraska has been a great place to grow up and now we are glad to work and raise our kids here.
I graduated with degrees in History and Spanish at the University of Nebraska. While at the university, I took advantage of two opportunities to study abroad. My first study was in Monterrey, Mexico and my second was in Salamanca, Spain. I just returned from studying in Costa Rica this summer and have traveled to Ecuador, Mexico, through Europe a couple of times and Ireland. Like my colleagues in World Languages, I love to spend time in other countries and I want to teach the value of this to my students.
I have taught Spanish for 13 years. My goal in class is to get students to hear the language continuously and to speak it in meaningful ways. I love for students to have fun and be creative with the language. I also want them to know about the cultures of the countries where Spanish is spoken.
