 Here's how 6th grade works:
6th Grade Band Course Description:
6th grade band students will meet once each week in 45 minute, small group, like-instrument pull-out lessons (from AcaCon classes) where the students will cover warmup and drill materials to build fundamental skills in addition to practicing full band music. The full wind band will meet once per week for 45 minutes after school on Wednesday for large ensemble experience. Drumline meets weekly on Tuesdays before school. Our students will also experience small ensemble playing and have opportunities to perform in two yearly programs as well as periodic appearances at assemblies. A reward for those students who have been diligent in lesson work and have been in regular attendance at before- and after-school band is the All-City 6th Grade Band held in the spring.
