Welcome to Sign Language Interpreting!

A person's natural language is the electricity of his or her soul, and to disconnect it is to shut them down.

2004-2005 School Year:

Sign Club Honors Seniors

We held our last club meeting for the 2005-2005 school year on Friday, May 13, 2005.  We honored 3 seniors and club officers ... Secretary Candace Jurgens, President Dustin Sipp, and Historian Christina Weber ... Candace and Christina are going on to Southeast Community College here in Lincoln, and Dustin will attend the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.

Club Day - May 13, 2005: President Dustin Sipp conducts the last meeting of the school year, and helps club member Jessica with the sign for "cow" or "horns." At the top, the whole group signs "congratulations," while at the bottom, the deaf students, club sponsors and interpreters pose for one last picture. Here are pictures of a game we played for the first time at our last meeting, and it truly tested our ability to use our bodies to express ourselves.  Many agreed it would be a great "ice breaker" for the first meeting of next year's club!

We ran the miniature golf game again at Saratoga's Fun Night in April.  The lines were not as long as last year, but still steady throughout the night.  Next year....we promise to get pictures!

2003-2004 School Year:
We had a great time running the Miniature Golf game at Saratoga Elementary School last spring, 2004!  Scroll down for pictures!
